HEY ALL!

This update is for sure past due. My apologies, there are several backers and a couple retailer backers oh here that know me personally and they know a bit about my history before getting into sculpting miniatures. I have been a tattoo artist for the last 23 years and for the last 6 years or so I have had a half a year long waiting list. Some of you might even be familiar with my work if not of me by my working name Half Pint. Back in 2007 I was partially responsible for Games Workshop publicly stating that doing Warhammer or 40K tattoos was a violation of their IP (see pic below of my work that triggered this response) Google Half Pint Tattoos to see more of my past work.

Anyways. Back on subject. In September I went through the process of selling my shop and for the last few months I had to finish off my remaining clients. It was a heavy back log and a lot of hours. That is all over now.
BUT I still managed to get work done on this kickstarter. Sculpts have been worked on and a lot of test printing has been done. Please be patient with the release of the STL files. They will deliver long before the deadline. For my own sense of pride I need to make sure they are top notch.
We have also finished manufacturing Ugath and his flight base. See bellow for Ugath and test printing pics.

The 3 dragons that were just drawings have all had sculpting started. Rholenthir is the furthest along. The sculpt is pretty fleshed out and has been posed with the exception of the tail. He also needs all the frills, wing membranes and scales added. Yngolin has been roughed out but still needs to be posed, textured. etc. Fel'Nigh is in the same state as Yngolin. Im including some of the sketches that were done for the sculpts so you can get an idea where the sculpt is going.

The map is finished and the link is below to the pdf file. Those of you that backed resin models will receive a hard copy when your rewards ship.
We have also been working on something that was not talked about in the kickstarter. We were not sure if it would work out but I think we have a good start on it and it will be a mainstay and foundation to our advertising and world building going forward. We will be releasing a series of 30 to 60 second animated shorts that will showcase some of the characters, monsters and interactions that form the world of Blightmoor. These will all be done inhouse and we have set up a small animation studio in our office with the principal animation be done by my son Aaron Martin with help from the rest of the creative team when needed. I hope you find them enjoyable.
Going forward we will update once a month unless something needs to be shown or talked about right away. I will be able to respond to comments and messages on Wednesdays as the rest of my time will be spent sculpting and monitoring test printing. We will however be posting daily photos on our instagram and facebook pages if you don't want to wait for a full update to know what is going on.

Thank you all for being patient, enjoy the progress pics and have a safe and happy holiday season.

Backerkit!

Hey all. We have understandably gotten a lot of messages and comments about no backerkit link. We did send out a standard survey through kickatarter weeks ago. Most of you have responded to those. Some still say they did not receive one. Please check your junk mail and your notifications on here. As for Backerkit, early on we had an issue with the shipping as explained in the last update. We had a hard time figuring out weights of non sculpted figures and it delayed ability to complete Backerkit on our end. We believe we have it sorted out and our info is being reviewed by Backerkit before they let us send you a link. They told us it could take up to 48 hours.
The good news is this is the only snag we have hit. Sculpting has moved forward and test printing has been moving at a steady pace. We got all our extra printers in, our factory space is almost finished being updated and most importantly I will state again a lot of sculpting and test printing has been done.
Ugath will be the first STL to go out and we have sculpted a base that will fit him and any standard Games Workshop small flying mini.
Thank you all for being so patient!!!

Hey all! Above you will see a video of the snap together feature we will be using on all our minis and STL files. For the last two weeks we have been working on this design. For those of you that are new to 3D printing, it is extremely hard to get a print that is dimensionally accurate to the actual specs of the STL file. This is not noticeable when printing figures but it is when making mechanical parts. Usually the issue is that the parts are slightly over sized. To get around this you usually have to account for it in the design phase of the part.
So we set out to design a snap together feature that would take this into account and would work in multiple scales. When we release the STL files we will have a pdf of resin mixes that we used and the layer heights/exposure times to get the best results on your printer.
The one in the video is what we have settled on. Bellow you will see some pics of failed designs. We went through a lot of iterations but after a while it started to feel like we were reinventing the wheel.
Surveys have gone out. Please check your email if you haven’t completed it yet.
Backerkit will be ready on Wed for those that want to change pledges, Add items, choose retail product or do a late pledge.

Surveys have gone out and we are still working on Backerkit. It will mainly be set up for those of you that want to see finished sculpts before settling on which dragon you want, adding on to your pledge and for retail level backers.
Bellow you will see 2 different pics of Seris. I wanted to show you what we were doing with the models to make them better for you. The display prototype shown in our campaign was sliced quickly without consideration of leaving seam lines. We are now going back through the models and making sure that all seams will follow the contours of the model using scales, skin folds and armored parts to hide the seams. The end goal is to have them go together and try to leave a minimal amount of modeling for you guys. We will still be adding the snap together feature and hope to have that to show you by early next week.
